1945 At 17 years, 8 months and 14 days, Tommy Brown hits a homer, making the Dodger shortstop the youngest player to homer in a MLB game.

1974 Nolan Ryan, clocked throwing a 100.9 MPH fastball, fans 19 Tiger batters, but loses to Mickey Lolich in the 11th inning, 1 – 0. It was the third time that season that Ryan struck out 19 batters, and the second time in nine days.

1999 Jeff Bagwell is the third person to draw six walks in a game (two intentional), a 6 – 4 win over the Marlins in 16 innings.
