1893 Cleveland sends George Davis to the Giants for Buck Ewing.

1907 The Highlanders send Joe Yeager to Browns for Branch Rickey.

1975 The Mets purchase Dave Kingman from the Giants for $150,000. Oddly, Kingman is reacquired from the Cubs on the same date in 1981 in a trade that sent Steve Henderson and cash to the Cubs for the outfielder.
