The Royals MAY have a top flight rotation next year… Tejada looks promising, Hochevar may have turned the corner, and Meche getting healthy for 2010 would give the Royals four good arms. If Bannister is #5 and not #3 – that’s GOOD news.

What they need are some hitters. They need guys with .380 OBAs and .500 slugging percentages. They need Mike Aviles to at least hit .280 with some power and play a decent short next year. They need an outfielder or first baseman to make a run at 35 homers. I mean – where is the offense going to come from?
